House Bill 297 will put an end to the culture of coercion that is typical of the Juneau Swamp.

Under HB297, no longer can legislators be threatened with having their employees fired, or tossed from their office, if they vote against the political caucus in Juneau.

Under HB297, no longer can legislators be bribed with extra travel money, or the loss of travel money, for agreeing to give control of their vote to another legislator.

Under HB297, you will no longer be allowed to dangle personal benefits in front of a legislator in exchange for that legislator agreeing to be bound to vote a certain way in the future.

Elected representatives must remain free to vote and speak on behalf of the people they were elected to represent.

I support House Bill 297, and urge its immediate passage into law!
